Shortsightedness

The aim of my project was to present upward tendency of shortsightedness occurance by kids and teenagers. Special consideration was granted to acceleration of cyvilization and technology development. For last few weeks, I was investigating relation of shortsightedness occurance and age in group of kids and teenagers (4-25 years old).

• I managed to pursue anonymus survey among 660 people. My research revealed that proportion of shortsighter rises with age. (I analysed amount and age of people, who reported shortsightedness at medical centre.)
• Main initiative coming from my project is to create Polish Naionwide Association of Volonteers Battling Schortsightedness, whose members would continue my idea of preventing shortsightedness of kids and teenagers by conducting free awareness-raising workshops and profilactic screening in kindergardens.
